Obituary of Amerina Pinto

Pinto, Amerina "Rosetta" (nee Bianco), age 82 of Totowa at rest in Ridgewood on February 19, 2020. Beloved wife of fifty two years to the late Umberto Pinto (2011). Loving mother of Natalie Pinto-Altonjy and her husband Lawrence of Waretown, Josephine Pinto-Capizzi and her husband James of Oakland and Connie Pinto of Totowa. Dear grandmother of Robert Capizzi, Brittany Capizzi and Victoria Capizzi. Sister of Benito Bianco of Italy. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Fagnano Castello, Prov di Cosenza, Italy, she came to the U.S.A. in 1965 settling in Paterson, then West Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1986. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Pinto was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. She loved to dance. She loved to cook, especially for her family and was excellent at it. She enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and taking day trips with her friends, including trips to Atlantic City. She was devoted to and was an advocate for St. Pio. Amerina adored and loved the children that she helped raise. She also cherished the time that she spent with and cooking for her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum,Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association, National Center, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231 and/or St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
