Bavaro, Helen (nee Della Pesca), age 90 of Brick at rest in Brick on December 12, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Stanley "Duke" Bavaro (2007). Loving mother of Toni Ann Fiorello of Point Pleasant, and Patricia Ann Bavaro of Virginia. Adoring grandmother of Nicholas Fiorello and his girlfriend Marybeth Bonanno of Gainesville, FL. Dear daughter of the late Russell and the late Mary (nee Roberto) Della Pesca. Sister of Catherine Albonico of Elmwood Park and Marion Felice of FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her 2 beloved Shih Tzu Dogs, Wally and Lola. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson for most of her life. She moved to Little Falls in 2000 before moving to Brick 10 years ago. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Bavaro was the best Italian cook. She loved to crochet, sew, and embroider. She was an avid NY Yankee fan. She also enjoyed tending to her floral garden. She loved the Jersey Shore and the Boardwalk. Mrs. Bavaro also loved antiquing, attending flea markets and garage sales. She enjoyed Atlantic City, and traveling to Italy. She was a snowbird who traveled to Florida. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Cremation will be private. Friends may visit Monday 4:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
