DeVausney, Samuel R. age 85 of Totowa at rest in Morristown on October 11, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Mary R. (nee Chiera) DeVausney (2009). Loving father of Mary Anne Politi of Totowa and Christine Faith Thonie and her husband David of Kenvil. Uncle of Theresa Alfano and her husband Robert of Clifton. Brother-in-law of Veronica Chiera of Clifton. Companion of Judy Hicswa of NC. Born in Jersey City, he lived most of his life in Totowa. He attended culinary school in New York. Mr. DeVausney was a Chef for the Upper Montclair Country Club, Clifton. He was a former Boy Scout leader in Totowa and an Eagle Scout. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 227, Totowa. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday 4:00 - 8:00 PM. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com.
