Obituary of William G. Van Der Wende, Sr.

Van Der Wende, Sr., William G. age 77 of Totowa at rest in Wayne on September 26, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Margaret A. (nee Bowser) Van Der Wende (2007). Loving father of William G. Van Der Wende, Jr. of Netcong. Dear grandfather of Scott William Van Der Wende. Brother of Alberta Greutert, Ruth Sutera and the late Richard Van Der Wende (1999). Born in Paterson, he lived in Clifton, before moving to Totowa forty seven years ago. He was the Senior Vice President for Marsh, New York City, NY for many years before retiring. Mr. Van Der Wende was a Vietnam Navy Veteran and a Clifton Firefighter for many years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 11:00 AM.
