Obituary of Frank J Ferro

Ferro, Frank J. Sr. age 97 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on July 22, 2019. Beloved husband of the late and former Violet B. Lewis (1980). Loving father of Diana Copelton Richardson of Toms River, Dorinda Zaragoza of Paterson, Darlene Torres of Paterson, Frank Joseph Ferro, Jr. of Iron Station, NC., Joseph Paul Ferro of Jamesburg, Keith Albert Ferro of Sarasota, FL. and the late Douglas James Ferro and the late Kevin John Ferro. Dear grandfather of thirty six grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in New Bedford, MA., he lived in Totowa for most of his life before moving to Paterson in 2005. He was an Auto Mechanic for Crews Vault Co., Totowa, for many years before retiring in 1982. Mr. Ferro was a WW II Army Veteran who served in Normandy. He was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa. Mr. Ferro was an Exempt Volunteer Firefighter with the Totowa Fire Department, after serving for many years. He was an avid NY Yankee fan and an avid fisherman. He cherished time spent with his family and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Legion Post # 227, 180 Union Blvd., Totowa, NJ 07512 would be appreciated.
