Wow. 95!! God bless Mr Mo as we used to call him. Our whole class loved him!! Don't know why but I was thinking about him this morning. You know when you think of someone 40 years later, he definitely made an impact on your life. Definitely made going to school more fun. He was undoubtedly the funniest teacher I ever had.

I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Mowad's passing. He was my 6th grade teacher and boy oh boy did we butt heads. He even once kicked me out of his class and told me to stand outside the door in the hallway, I decided to take a walk and when he came out looking for me, I was gone. He was like "now where did that girl go"! The whole class had a good laugh. By the end of the school year we had a mutual respect for each other and I think, in the end, he liked me because I was a spit fire just like himself, or at least, that's what I'm choosing to believe. Many years later I saw him at Shoprite and I went up to him and said "remember me" and he replied back with "I SURE DO", not sure if that was good or bad HA HA. We had a few laughs and went on our way. I sure thought he was old when he taught me WAY BACK WHEN and then when I ran into him decades later, HE STILL LOOKED THE SAME. I'm going to have some great memories of Mr. Mowad as I'm sure everyone else does since he was such a kind and caring man.

“Your students will not remember what you taught them but they will remember how you made them feel.” This is definitely true of Mr. Mowad. He always made you feel welcome with a kind smile, quiet laugh, and maybe even a little smirk on occasion. He was a kind and caring man. Rest In Peace.
