Obituary of James T Kopec

James "Jay" Kopec, 37, of Totowa, passed away suddenly on April 11, 2019. He was formerly of Vernon, but did spend most of his life in Totowa. He was the loving father of 3 children, Aidan, Xander, Kaia, and he also leaves behind his beloved Boston terrier, Luna. He was born in Pequannock and was the son of Ronnie and Ted Kopec of Totowa. He was the brother of Steve Kopec and his wife Dawn of Bloomingdale. He will be terribly missed by his loving friend, Jessica. He will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was employed by American Medical & Dental Supplies in Montvale, as the Director of Marketing and Business Development. He was also the sole proprietor of a web design company, Keyhole Graphics. Jay had this unique talent to charm the people he met. To know him was to love him. He was a great father to his kids. He was a person who was full of life and found ways to enjoy it to the fullest. His greatest enjoyment was music, whether it was playing any of his guitars, writing new music or just listening. He also fancied himself as quite a cook and was very creative at preparing any food dish. His interests did not stop with music and cooking. He also loved to dabble with art and graphics, and enjoyed numerous other pastimes which included coaching soccer, hunting pheasant, camping, kayaking and fishing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Committal to follow at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. Friends may visit on Monday from 4-8 PM.
