Obituary of Pia Petriello

Petriello, Pia (nee Molinaro), age 80 of Wayne at rest in Wayne on January 27, 2019. Beloved wife of Salvatore Petriello of Wayne. Loving mother of Sonia Petriello of Wayne and the late Salvatore Petriello Jr. (2003). Dear sister of Pietro Molinaro and his wife Sofia of Salerno, Italy and Maria Marcolini and her late husband Giovanni of Udine, Italy. Adoring aunt of Paola, Antonella, Massimo, Adele, Gina, Maria Christina, Giuseppina, and Rosanna. Born in Montella, Prov. Di Avellino, Italy, she lived in Italy for 29 years before coming to the United States where she resided in Paterson for 18 years before moving to Wayne in 1985. She was a Seamstress/Sewing Machine Operator for 50 years in various factories in Paterson before retiring in 2003. She enjoyed going on bus trips to Padre Pio events, the San Salvatore Parade, as well as trips to Atlantic City. She also loved gardening, cooking, baking cookies, and sewing. Sewing was her art. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. Relatives and friends may visit Wednesday 4-8 PM.
