Obituary of Pasquale DePascale

DePascale, Pasquale age 96 of Paterson at rest on December 16, 2018. Beloved husband of 63 years of the late Giuseppina (nee Baldassarre) DePascale (2015). Loving father of Generoso DePascale of Robbinsville, Robert DePascale and his wife Marie of North Wales, PA and Aldo DePascale and his wife Shraddha of Rockaway. Grandfather of Erica, Elena, Eve, Andrew and Dante DePascale and Victoriya Kovalchuk. Dear brother of Yolanda Petriello of Haledon, Maria Bucella of Port Washington, NY and the late Grazia Delli Gatti. Born in Montella, Italy, he lived in Italy for 31 years before coming to the United States and residing in Paterson. He started Atlantic Travel Agency, Paterson and Lodi with Mr. Italo Masucci in the 1960's, establishing a successful charter business to Italy before retiring in 2002. He was a highly trusted advisor to many Italians that started their lives and small businesses in America. He had a great wit and affection for politics, business, sports and his family. Mr. DePascale was a veteran of the Italian Army serving in WW2 and immigrated to the United States in 1953. He was a graduate of the University of Naples and worked in Venice, Italy in government finance, where he lived with his wife, who was a teacher. Pasquale was a 3000 meter steeple chase track & field runner, who was in the process of qualifying for the Italian National team when the Olympics were cancelled due to the war. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Thursday at 10:00 AM with services to commence at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 4-8 PM.
