Obituary of Aurora Daunno-Sorrentino

Daunno-Sorrentino, Aurora (nee Di Cianna), age 95 of Toms River at rest in Toms River on December 5, 2018. Beloved wife of the late William Sorrentino (2000). Loving mother of Sandra Daunno Erdmann Bellinato and her husband Thomas of Bayville, and the late Thomas Daunno (2007). Dear sister of the late Frank Di Cianna, Helen Kennedy, Rachel Puccio, and Rose Fico. Adoring grandmother of Laura Erdmann Kovacs, Robert Erdmann ,Sandra Daunno Johnson, Sharon Daunno, Kimberly Daunno Holden, Cheryl Portillo, and Phyllis Davis. Aurora is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born in Manhattan, NY, she lived most of her life in Paterson, then Totowa before moving to Toms River in 2000. She was a seamstress for several garment factories in Paterson. She also worked as a sewing machine instructor at the North Jersey Developmental Center, Totowa for 20 years before retiring. Mrs. Daunno-Sorrentino was a member of the Totowa First Aid Squad Auxiliary. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:30 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 3:00 - 7:00 PM.
