Obituary of John G Waryas

Waryas, John G. "Lefty" age 84 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on November 23, 2018. Beloved husband of the late and former Joan A. Toine (1997). Loving father of Faith A. Mutch of Woodland Park, John J. Waryas & his wife, Donna of Totowa and Gregory M. Waryas of Las Vegas, NV. Dear grandfather of Edward Mutch and Kyle Waryas. Loving uncle of Steven Waryas of OK. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson before moving to Totowa 60 years ago. He was an employee for Shop Rite, Little Falls. Prior to that he was the owner/manager of Main Army Navy Outlet Store, Paterson for 60 years until 2014. Mr. Waryas was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. James Council #6574 and a member of the Holy Name Society as well as an usher. He was very devout to his faith and was kind hearted and generous to all. He had an extremely strong work ethic. He enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and New York City. He was an avid N.Y. Giants, N.Y. Yankee, and N.Y. Knick fan. He enjoyed maintaining aquariums and was a big Frank Sinatra fan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00 PM. - 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James R.C. Church, 32 St. James Place, Totowa, N.J. 07512 would be appreciated.
