Freeman, Thomas J. "Tommy" age 68 of Bloomingdale at rest in Wayne on November 10, 2018. Beloved son of Nellie (nee Howard) Freeman of Bloomingdale and the late Thomas J Freeman. Loving brother of Jennie Lynne Robertson of Brunswick, MD., Louise Ann Freeman of Bloomingdale, Michael D. Freeman and his wife Nurys of Caldwell and Ronald Glasgow of Livingston. Dear uncle of Nelly, Savannah, Christopher, Heather, Jennifer, John and Jacob. Great uncle of Matthew, Michael and Isabella. Born in Orange, he lived in East Orange most of his life before moving to Bloomingdale three years ago. He was a Security Employee for Alcatel-Lucent, Murray Hill, for many years before retiring in 2014. Mr. Freeman was an avid fisherman and historian. He enjoyed birding and model airplanes. He was a classical music historian and belonged to the Beethoven Society, New York, N.Y. He was an avid reader. He was a NY Yankee and NY Giants fan. He was the rock of his family. He had an encyclopedic memory and was very well read. He was a friend to all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Wednesday at 7:30 PM. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM. Cremation will be private.
