Ortiz, Natividad (nee Grijalva), age 79 of Haledon at rest in Paterson on November 8, 2018. Beloved wife of Mario Ortiz of Haledon. Loving mother of Mario Recinos and his wife Larraine of Wayne, Francisco Recinos and his wife Ligia of El Salvador, Mario Guillermo Ortiz and his wife Pamela of Orlando, FL, Norma Ramos and her husband Jose of Haledon, and Christy Romero and her husband Jose Luis of Los Angeles, CA. Dear sister of Yolanda Grijalva, Gloria Anderson, and Zoila Grijalva. Adoring grandmother of Victoria Piasecki and her husband Daniel, Michael Recinos, Isabella Ramos, Joselyn Ramos, Ligia Recinos, Daniela Recinos, Christy Romero, and Joseph Romero. Loving great grandmother of Alessia Piasecki. Born in San Salvador, El Salvador where she was a Registered Nurse. She lived in Guatemala before she came to the United States 49 years ago. She was a long time Paterson and Pompton lakes resident before moving to Haledon. She worked for many years at Preakness Health Care center in Wayne where she retired 13 years ago. Natividad was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. One of her most valued qualities was lending a helping hand to any and all. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were one of her most valued treasures. She will be eternally missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. John's Cathedral, Paterson at 10:30 AM. Cremation will be private. Friends may visit Monday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
