Guarente, William "Bill" age 78 of Henderson, NV at rest in Wayne on September 21, 2018. Beloved husband of Rosemarie (nee Scarnaty) Guarente of Henderson, NV. Loving father of Nancy Bertoldi and her husband Dominick of Roseland, Gina Fieger of Henderson, NV, William Guarente and his wife Joanne of Wanaque, and Anthony Guarente and his wife Helen of Totowa. Adoring grandfather of Adrianna, Anthony, Leo, and Marissa Bertoldi, John, William, and Jenna Guarente, Victoria, Amelia, and Melissa Cooper, Isabella, Sophia, and Ava Guarente. Loving great-grandfather of Marcus, Lucas, and Rocco Guarente. Dear brother of Carmela Serino of Henderson, NV. William is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Prospect Park for most of his life before moving to Henderson, NV, 10 years ago. He was a Hi Lo Driver for Nabisco Brands, Fair Lawn, for 37 years before retiring in 2002. Mr. Guarente was a former parishioner of St. Paul R.C. Church, Prospect Park. He was a member of the Bakers Union Local #719. He was a U.S. Army veteran and he was also a great cook. He was an avid NY Mets and NY Jets fan and coached the Prospect Park Little League. He owned a timeshare at the Villa Roma Country Club Resort in Callicoon, NY. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Paul R.C. Church, Prospect Park at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Tuesday 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
