Obituary of Armand C. Hilaire
Hilaire, Armand C. age 95 of Little Falls at rest at home on August 31, 2018. Dear brother of the late George Hilaire, Vivian Hessel, Evelyn Hilaire Perkins. Uncle of Karen Atkisson and her husband Jim of Brandon, Miss. Dear friend of Daniel, Christie, Christopher, Justin Pagano and Rose Martinez. Born in Clifton, he lived in Clifton for fifty seven years before moving to Little Falls in 1980. He was employed at Micalex Corporation from 1941 to 1959, where he became the plant supervisor. He received an Occupational Deferment from service in WWII because Micalex Corporation was manufacturing components for aviation that were critical for the war effort. Armand started Ceramic Fabricators, Inc., Little Falls, in 1961 until he retired in 1979. He was a member of the planetary society, space society and the Free Masons, Lodge #276, Garfield. He traveled by car through the 49 continental United States. He enjoyed his home on Sanibel Island, Florida. He was an avid Hiker along the Appalachian Trail and was a supporter of Millbrook Village. Armand supported numerous charities and he enjoyed being a philanthropist. His favorite charity was Young Americas Foundation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 AM.
