Obituary of Andrew Fertonani

Fertonani, Andrew age 95 of Hewitt, NJ at rest in Warwick, NY on June 3, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Ethel Fertonani (1995). Loving father of Angelo Fertonani & his wife Pamela of Oklahoma. Dear brother of Daniel Fertonani of Lafayette, Richard Fertonani of Ohio, Terry Smolinsky of Florida, and the late Louis Fertonani. Loving uncle of Julie Fertonani of California, Mark Fertonani of California, Robert Smolinsky of Bloomingdale, and Joyce Schwarz of Florida. Born in Hawthorne, he lived in Paterson, then Fair Lawn before moving to Upper Greenwood Lake (Hewitt). He was a Custodian for the Upper Greenwood Lake Elementary School before retiring. Andrew is a WWII and Korean War veteran having spent 20 years in the Navy, first with the USS Louisville aircraft carrier, then with the USS FDR aircraft carrier. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa on Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Arrangements are by Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa.
