Obituary of Mary Nucci

Nucci, Mary (nee Brunetti), age 78 of North Haledon at rest in Ridgewood on March 17, 2018. Beloved wife of Domenico Nucci. Loving mother of Connie Menucci & her husband Carmelo of Wayne, and Angelo Nucci & his wife Andrea also of Wayne. Dear grandmother of Frank, Marcello, Nick, & Marc. Loving sister of Nancy Natale and Eva DiLizia. Born in Fraine, Province di Chieti, Italy, she lived in Italy for 15 years, then in Paterson until 1971 before moving to North Haledon. In 1954, at 16 years old, she passed through Ellis Island on the ship, Queen Frederica.  She was a seamstress for a coat factory in Paterson for many years. Mrs. Nucci also owned her own luncheonette, Nucci's Place and she was a great cook at William Paterson University for 20 years, where she was known as "Mamma Nucci". Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:30 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday 4:00-8:00 PM.
