Obituary of Anna Scialpi

Scialpi, Anna, (nee Pastore), 67, of Wayne, New Jersey, passed away on March 11 at St. Joseph's Medical Center, following complications from a fall. Anna was the founder of Anna Scialpi Tax Services, known for her integrity, professionalism and her dedication to her long-time clients, many of whom came to consider her a friend. Over four decades, she lessened the usual grind associated with tax preparation by listening to the personal stories of those in her office and offering advice, good humor, and compassion. She leaves behind a grateful clientele. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Domenico. The couple was married in 1972 and worked side by side each day, sharing a file-filled office space and a loving home. The two enjoyed American history and frequent trips to Williamsburg. They also enjoyed the outdoors, apple picking, trips to the Jersey shore, playing with their dog Snowy, and listening to music. Anna's favorite song was "Love Me," by Elvis, although she preferred it sung by Dom. Anna was also a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her daughter Michelle Mitchell, of Fairfield, son in law Gregg Mitchell, and grandchildren Dylan and Stephanie Mitchell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, Wayne at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 7:00 - 9:00 PM and Thursday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
