Obituary of Marlene T. Van Wagenen

Van Wagenen, Marlene T., (nee Bandes), age 82 of Cedar Grove at rest in Cedar Grove on March 6, 2018. Beloved wife of sixty two years of Kenneth H. Van Wagenen Sr. of Cedar Grove. Loving Mother of Kim Mongiardo and her husband Rich of Wayne, Kenneth H. Van Wagenen Jr. of Cedar Grove, Kent Van Wagenen of Franklin Township and the late Deborah Van Wagenen (1969) and the late Diane Van Wagenen (1969). Dear grandmother of Joe Borges and his wife Evelyn of Little Falls and Nicholas Mongiardo of Wayne. Adoring great grandmother of Freddy Maya, Cielo Maya and Jake Borges. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and her beloved pet cats, Mittens and Cindy. Born in New York, N.Y., she lived in Kingston, N.Y. then in several towns in North Jersey before moving to Cedar Grove recently. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Van Wagenen cherished any time spent with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren and spoiled them with presents. She loved her pet cats. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Sunday, March 11, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Cremation was private. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
