Obituary of Carmella Ciongoli

Ciongoli, Carmella "Millie" (nee Rusciano), age 91 of Montville at rest in Montville on February 7, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore Ciongoli (2003). Loving mother of Barbara Firrincili and her husband George of Montville, and Bernard "Bernie" Ciongoli and his wife Lorraine of Totowa. Dear grandmother of Lauren Calandriello and her husband Jim, Melissa Starobinets and her husband Vlad, Bernard Ciongoli D.O. and Alexis, and Dana Firrincili. Adoring great-grandmother of Alessandra and Nico Calandriello, Alexander, Andrew, and Ashley Starobinets, and Christian Ciongoli. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson for most of her life before moving to Montville in 1985. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Ciongoli was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson and she also belonged to their senior citizens club. She was also a member of the Montville Seniors Club and she volunteered for the senior nutrition program. She enjoyed time spent in LBI with her family and her trips to Atlantic City. She was a great cook and the matriarch of her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
