Obituary of James E. Corby

Corby, James E., Sr. age 79 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on January 4, 2018. Beloved husband of 57 years of Veronica A. (nee Byrnes) Corby of Totowa. Loving father of James E. Corby, Jr. of Newark, Linda VanTreuren and her husband, Cliff of Vernon and Sharon Di Pasquale and her husband, George of Totowa. Dear brother of the late Alice O'Hara and her husband, Leo and the late Marie Krieger and her husband, Clifford. Grandfather of Jessica, Shannan, Bradley, Devyn and Kacey. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and several brothers and sisters in law. Born in Paterson, he lived in West Paterson, before moving to Totowa 50 years ago. He was a Composition Roofer for J.P. Patti Roofing Co., for over 40 years before retiring in 2000. Mr. Corby was a member of the Composition Roofers, Local #10, Haledon. He was a hard worker and family man, who cherished time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday 4-8 PM.
