Obituary of Mark Joseph Scarmazzo

Scarmazzo, Mark Joseph age 88 of Wayne at rest in Wayne on December 29, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee Holley). Loving Father ofMark Scarmazzo of Wayne, Robert Scarmazzo & his wife Kim of West Palm Beach, Fl, Anthony Scarmazzo of West Milford, Jim Scarmazzo of Wayne, and Cathy Mostyn & her husband Terry of Mahwah. Devoted grandfather of Ronald, Robbie, Jade, Nicholas, Jimmy, Stephanie, Vanessa. Courtney and Steven. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson, before moving to Wayne in 1960. He was the owner of Malan Dying & Finishing Co., Paterson before retiring Mr. Scarmazzo was a lifetime parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley Church RC, Wayne. He was an active member of the Wayne Bowling League until 2 years ago. He was a member of the American Association of Textile Colorists and Chemists (AATCC) and was a U.S. Army veteran. His favorite hobby was winemaking. He won a gold medal for 1st place in the Corrado Winemaking Tournament with several thousand competitors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Valley RC Church, Wayne, on Wednesday at 10:30 AM (all are requested to meet directly at the church). Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Tuesday 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd. Totowa, NJ.  There will be a short Eulogy at 6:00 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to Our Lady of the Valley RC Church, 630 Valley Road, Wayne, NJ 07470.
