Acevedo, Javier age 73 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on November 28, 2017. Beloved husband of the former Cenelia Carmona. Loving Father of Alejandro Acevedo & his wife Patricia of Nutley, Edwin Acevedo & his wife Maria of Belleville, Javier Acevedo of Belleville and Jacqueline Acevedo of Paterson. Loving brother of Oliva Restrepo of Hackensack, Hilda Acevedo, Celina Acevedo, Maruja Acevedo and Dario Acevedo all of Medellin, Colombia. Dear grandfather of Mateo Acevedo and Alejandro Acevedo. Born in Medellin, Colombia, he came to the United States July 2, 1972 and resided in Paterson for most of his life. He was a Machinist for General Foam, Saddle Brook before retiring. Mr. Acevedo was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Paterson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's RC Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday 4:00 - 9:00 PM.
