Obituary of Francesco Pineta

Pineta, Francesco "Frank" age 77 of Little Falls at rest in Morristown on October 29, 2017. Beloved husband of the former Peppina Fiorarancio of Little Falls. Loving Father of Erminia A. Zumpano and her husband Pasquale of North Caldwell and Amedeo Pineta and his wife Daniela of Fairfield. Dear grandfather of Delia, Francesca, and Giulia Zumpano and Francesco, Gianluca, and Gabriella Pineta. Brother of Delia Pineta of Italy. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Cetraro, Prov di Cosenza, Italy, he came to the U.S.A. in 1966 settling in Paterson before moving to Little Falls in 1977. He was a Mason/Brick Layer for Trulli Construction, Andover for many years before retiring in 2002. Mr. Pineta was a member of B.A.C., Local #2, Fairfield. He was an avid deer hunter and belonged to Seven Hunters Club, Bovina Center, N.Y. He was a member of the Knowlton Twsp. Gun Club as well as the Cetraro Hunting Club, Pike Twsp., PA. He was an avid vegetable gardener, and enjoyed tending to his fig trees. Mr. Pineta enjoyed making homemade wine, tomato sauce, and Italian sausages. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Notre Dame R.C. Church, North Caldwell at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Relatives and friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105 or the American Cancer Society N.J.
