La Sassa, Margaret V. (nee Paradiso), age 81 of Clifton at rest in Passaic on August 4, 2017. Loving mother of Martine La Sassa of Clifton and James La Sassa Jr. and his wife Cecelia of Lake Worth, FL. Grandmother of four. Sister of Edward Paradiso of FL. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her pet cat, Tigger. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson before moving to Clifton twenty five years ago. She was a hair stylist in Fair Lawn for many years. After that, she was a Secretary for Firestone before retiring in 2001. Margaret enjoyed Broadway musicals. She enjoyed watching old westerns on television as well as the old time classics. She also enjoyed tending to her flower garden and she loved to shop. She cherished time spent with her children. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Friday from 9:00-10:00 AM. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St.Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
