Obituary of Frederick Browning

Browning, Frederick "Ollis" age 78 of Totowa at rest in Cedar Grove on March 25, 2017. Beloved husband of 31 years to Barbara Sue Tolley Browning of Totowa and the late and former Barbara Jean Evens. Loving father of Kenneth Browning of Shermans Dale, PA, and Steven Browning and his wife Maureen of Kinnelon. Adoring grandfather of Ian, Robert, Morgan, and Madison. Frederick is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as many close friends and neighbors. Born in Canton, NC he lived in Canton for 16 years, then in Jersey City before moving to Totowa 51 years ago. He was a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #15, and worked in NYC for 45 years, before retiring in 2003. Mr. Browning proudly worked on the foundation of the original World Trade Center. He also loved to garden and owned and operated "The Terrace Inn" for 15 years which is still family owned to this day. Mr. Browning was also a U.S. Army veteran, serving during peacetime. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday, April 8th from 11-1 PM, with a service at 12:30 PM. Cremation was private at the request of the family.
