Obituary of Joseph Francis Graham

Graham, Joseph Francis de Valera age 88 of Clifton at rest in Paterson on Saturday January 28, 2017. Born in Paterson to Joseph B. Graham and Mary (nee Troll) Graham on April 29, 1928. Joe grew up in Clifton and Paterson, graduating from Paterson Central High School. He was a U.S. Army Combat Veteran of the Korean War serving as a Corporal and earning the Korean Service Metal with two bronze service bars. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Joe worked as a welfare fraud investigator for the Passaic County Board of Social Services, Paterson for many years before retiring. He was an avid N.Y. Mets fan. He enjoyed talk radio and he loved to dance. Joe was proudest to be a Life Member and past Commander of the American Legion Post # 227, Totowa. He is survived by three cousins: Margaret Micchelli and her husband Thomas, Diane Snow and the late Phillip Snow (2016) and Jane Puccio and her husband Frank. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 11:00 AM. Friends may arrive at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Relatives and friends may visit Thursday from 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Legion Post # 227, 180 Union Blvd., Totowa, N.J. 07512 and/or a charity of your choice.
