Herman, Frank John age 95 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on September 28, 2016. Born in Chicago, Illinois on Jan. 2, 1921, he grew up in Chicago, and lived in N.Y.C. and Kearney, NJ before moving to Totowa in 1951. He was a Technician for Kearfott, West Paterson during the space race and his name is placed on the moon. He was a merchant marine serving during WW II, and was a longtime member of the Totowa Happy Seniors. Beloved husband of the late Dolores (nee Knapp) (2007). Loving Father of Stephen Herman & his wife Sarah of Totowa. Loving grandfather of Katherine Herman of Totowa, Evan Herman of Totowa and Jeffrey Herman of Colts Neck. Dear great grandfather of Amanda & Matthew Herman, both of Colts Neck. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit Saturday 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com.
