Obituary of Anna Marie Belmont

BELMONT, ANNA Oak Ridge, NJ – Anna Belmont, 92, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 6. Anna was born in Paterson, New Jersey, to the late Salvatore and Mary Duva. She was the owner of Bel-Anne’s Fashions in Totowa for a number of years, and was a charter member of the Totowa Police Athletic League. She was also a long-time volunteer at Saint James RC Church, as well as many other community activities in Totowa. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Floyd Belmont, her brother, Carl Duva, and sisters Victoria Caramanna, Rose DiRicco, and Josephine Remson. She is survived by her brother, Lou Duva, and her children, Joanne Belmonte, Frank and Linda Belmont, and Rick and Sally Belmont. She thoroughly enjoyed being Grandma to Candice and Tom Fitzgerald of Hoboken, Stephen Belmont of Jersey City, Timothy Belmont of East Rutherford, Kaitlyn Belmont of Chicago, Illinois, Emily Belmont of Scranton, Pennsylvania, Larry Lavorgna of Pineville, Pennsylvania, Jaime and Lisa Lavorgna of Parsippany, and the late Christopher Lavorgna. She loved her role as Great-Grandma to her 6 great-grandchildren, as well as Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral services to follow at 9:30 AM at St. James of the Marches Church, 410 Totowa Rd., Totowa, NJ 07512.
