Soldoveri, Grace P. (nee Pinder), age 90, of Totowa, at rest in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania on July 29, 2016. Grace was born on October 22, 1925 in Queens, New York, but lived most of her life in South Paterson and then in Totowa. She was the daughter of the late James and Ebba (nee Johnson) Pinder and the sister of the late George Pinder. Grace attended School Number 9 in South Paterson. She then attended Central High School in Paterson graduating in 1943 and was the Vice President of her Senior Class. Following High School, Grace became a successful fashion model for several years in New York City. Grace married the late John L. Soldoveri in 1951 and they were married for 62 years. She gave birth to her son Robert in 1953 and her daughter Jane in 1955. She was a devoted wife, a selfless mother and loving grandmother. She was an active member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Clifton. She served on her Central High School Reunion Committee and loved seeing old classmates at her reunions. She cherished her time with her family, loved spending time at the family's lake home in the Pocono Mountains and their home in Florida. She was happiest when surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren. Her interests and hobbies included sewing, dancing, and tending to her flowers. Along with her late husband John, she established and funded the John L. and Grace P. Soldoveri Foundation, a charitable foundation that has given contributions primarily to benefit the local community and other special charitable organizations. The Foundation, along with the giving nature of both John and Grace, is a special legacy they will be passing on to their two children and five grandchildren. Grace was the loving mother to Robert C. Soldoveri of Totowa and Jane Soldoveri Hinckley and her husband Richard of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She was grandmother to her loving grandchildren, Kristen, Michael, Christopher, Matthew, and Megan Hinckley. She was aunt to many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Friday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Service to follow at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1337 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton at 11:00 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum, Totowa. Relatives and friends may visit on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the John L. and Grace P. Soldoveri Foundation, 785 Totowa Road, Totowa, N.J. 07512 and /or the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1337 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, N.J. 07013 would be greatly appreciated.
