Obituary of Nicola D'Apolito

D'Apolito, Nicola "Nick" age 85 of Montville at rest in Montville on June 26, 2016. Born in San Marco in Lamis, Prov. di Foggia, Italy he came to the United States in 1945 settling in Paterson, then Totowa for 30 years before moving to Montville in 1997. He was the owner/proprietor of the Totowa Italian Bakery, Totowa for 30 years before retiring in 1997. Mr. D'Apolito was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was an army veteran of the Korean War. He loved to travel and garden. Baking was his hobby and passion. He was a member of the Roma Club, Woodland Park and an avid Juventus Fan. Beloved husband of the late & former Filomena Nardella (2010). Loving Father of Maria B. D'Apolito of Montville. Dear cousin of Annamaria Saracino of San Marco, Italy. Brother in Law of Giuseppe and Jo Ann Nardella of Montville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews here in the USA as well as in Italy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Wednesday 4- 8 PM.
