Obituary of Giovanna Ambrogio

Ambrogio, Giovanna (nee Zisa) age 92 of Clifton at rest in Clifton on May 22, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Consalvo Ambrogio (2005). Loving mother of Aldo Ambrogio of Clifton. Dear grandmother of Isabella Ambrogio and Andrew, Nicholas, and Alexander Ambrogio. Aunt of Brunilde Zisa and Michele Zisa, both of Italy. Born in Santa Croce Camerina, Prov. di Ragusa, Sicily, Italy, she came to the U.S.A. in 1961 settling in Paterson before moving to Clifton in 1966. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Ambrogio was a member of the San Giuseppe Santa Croce Camerina Society, Hawthorne. She was a member of the Sicilian Federation of New Jersey and the Alfano Society as a Commitee Member. Mrs. Ambrogio was a liason with the Italian Consulate, New York, N.Y. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Clifton. She loved to garden and was an avid N.Y. Mets Fan. She was a former basketball player in Italy. She also enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 10:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Clifton at 11:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Relatives and friends may visit Wednesday 4:00 -8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, New Jersry Division Inc., Bergen County Unit, 20 Mercer Street, Hackensack, N.J. 07601 would be greatly appreciated.
