Gocklin, Sr, Richard A. age 83 of Port Charlotte, FL. at rest in Morristown on May 1, 2016. Beloved husband of sixty two years of the former Theresa Salvatore of Port Charlotte, FL. Loving Father of Richard A. Gocklin Jr and his wife Sherry of Pine Brook, Montville Township and Steven Gocklin and his longtime companion Sue Lachenauer of Belleville. Dear Grandfather of Jenna Gocklin and Dina Hunter. Also surviving are three great grandchildren. Born in Newark, he lived in Newark for most of his life before moving to Port Charlotte, FL. seventeen years ago. He was a Union Representative for Walter Kiddi, Inc., Bellville for many years before retiring in 1993. Mr. Gocklin was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean war. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a N.Y. Yankee fan. He enjoyed time spent with his family and grandchildren. Cremation was private.
