I had the privilege to care for Edith when she was recuperating with Sharon in Coopersburg in 2014. She was a feisty lady who wasn't afraid to speak her mind about how she felt about something. I would like to share some of the things I learned about Edith.
1. She didn't care for left overs. In her words, "I don't eat something twice."
2. She had to fix her hair a certain way
3. Mascara in a pinch could be used to cover up some grey hair.
4. She liked to go "bumming" and check out the dollar stores.
5. She loved her children and grandchildren. Especially Sean who took her
to the casinos.
6. She always wore a cami with a button down shirt and if she could get away with it she would stay in her mu-mu all day.
7. Did I mention that she was Feisty?
I will miss her and am so glad that I got to visit with her last month while she was in the hospital in Allentown. I painted her nails bright orange. She loved it! Rest in peace my sweet Edith!

My loving Grandmother, thank you for forty-three years of love, care, compassion, understanding, and laughs. You took care of me, with Mom and Aunt Catherine for the first twenty years of my life, and the last twenty-three years, I took care of you, as it should be. That's what a Grandmother and Grandson relationship is supposed to be. I miss you terribly, and for thee benefit of everyone else, try not to show it, but you see it when I'm alone, at night, and I appreciate you looking in on me. I will always love you, and never forget you! Konner misses you too. He never cries, and the other night, he did, and you've had a dramatic impact on both our lives. We love you "Mama Eda"

My dear sweet momma...love you forever and a day. My "come back kid". What a great privilege to have you as a mom. You always did it your way. You were unique. You were loved. So many words can be used to describe you. FUN comes to mind first. We shared many laughs, many tears. Shared some sorrow, lots of joy.. You are at rest. You are at peace. Are you dancing the jitter-bug with Uncle Gary? I imagine you are. Thank you for confirming so many times to me that there is power in prayer. Thank you for all you always did for me and for others. Rest easy momma. I can't wait to be reunited with you and daddy again and with everyone who has gone before me. I imagine your amazement as you crossed over and were greeted on the other side by loved ones. I know it had to be beautiful. Love Sharon

Rosemarie Lembo Caruso posted a condolence

Aunt Edith - Thank you for understanding my family. Sending me articles and asking about us. I want to mention people I think you would have wanted mentioned as part of your family. You sons, Robert and Kenneth, your daughter Sharon, your Grandchildren came first.
I know you thought about and held dear your other family members. Your loving surviving sister who will miss your greatly, Anne Lembo Guarriello and her children, niece Ceil Guarriello Bronander and nephew Gary Guarriello and their families. Your predeceased brothers, Joseph Lembo Sr and his son Joseph Lembo Jr, your nephew, and Ralph E. Lembo, his daughter Rosemarie Lembo Caruso, your niece. Time past does not disappear when their are people that remember and I know you told me you missed the strong family that seems to be so different in this day and age. This is why you fought so hard to try to keep your family close above all else. The Lembo and Catania families - they were also family. You missed those times of parties and fun and closeness that seems to have disappeared for so many families now. Rest in peace, and I know if it is possible, you will be watching over all your family.
