Ploch, Dolores Jane (nee McDermott), 91, died peacefully on Saturday, November 28th surrounded by her loving family. Originally from Paterson, NJ then of Vineland, NJ and Montclair, NJ, Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Edwin and brother Eugene McDermott. She spent her life devoted to her family, her children Rev. Timothy Ploch SDB of the Vatican City, Rome; June Ploch and partner Sally Starin of Montclair, NJ; Mary Ruffilo, husband Joseph (deceased), their children Tazio and Ethan of Paterson, NJ; John Ploch, wife Diane, their children Ryan Ploch, Carisa Mazzoni, husband Greg, and Aaron Ploch (deceased) of Vineland, NJ; Donald Ploch, wife Joanne, their children Zachary, Timothy and Christopher of Vernon, NJ and Christine Rhodes-Fiocchi, husband John Fiocchi, children Teddy Rhodes, Daniel Rhodes, Amanda Fiocchi, John Fiocchi and Michael Fiocchi of Vineland, NJ. She is also survived by her sisters Patricia Blundo of Ramsey, NJ and Joan Hissom of East Liverpool, OH, in addition to great grandchildren Maria, Jack and Samuel Mazzoni of Vineland, NJ as well as many nieces and nephews. Dolores was a devoted Catholic who was raised by the Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco in North Haledon, NJ and an excellent seamstress. She spent her time in life always tending to the needs of others and has gone back to the Lord, into the loving arms of those she cared for on earth including her devoted husband, Edwin Ploch, father Eugene McDermott, mother-in-law Magdalena Ploch, as well as brothers-in-law John and Alfred Bernard (Ben) Ploch. Dolores Jane McDermott Ploch will be dearly missed and remembered by all family and friends that have been truly blessed by the life she led. Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Cassian R.C. Church, Montclair. Interment at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Montclair. Relatives and friends may visit Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
