Roberto, Barbara Ann (nee Adelman) age 71 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on July 6, 2013. Beloved wife of Albert Roberto of Totowa. Loving Mother of Deanna Thomas and her husband Paul of Clayton, NC, Steven Roberto and his wife Allison of Collegeville, PA, and Jill Fontana and her husband Louis of Little Falls. Dear grandmother of Sabrina, Monica, Cole, Gaetano, Sonia, Fiona and Jenna. Dear sister of Marilyn and Judy Adelman. Sister in law of Bernard Proffitt, Joyce Roberto, and the late Carol Proffitt. Loving aunt of Laurie and Michael Proffitt. Survivors also include friends of the family, Karen & Alec Zavattaro. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1970. She was a School Teacher for the Totowa Board of Education, Totowa Borough Public Schools for over thirty years before retiring in 2008. Mrs. Roberto loved her grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the John Theurer Cancer Center or Angels of Hope Foundation, C/O Hackensack University Medical Center, 30 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, N.J. 07601 would be appreciated.
