Obituary of Mary Courtis

Courtis, Mary (nee Anastos) age 86 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on July 4, 2013. Beloved wife of the late John "Turk" Courtis (2000). Loving Mother of Kelly Flynn of Totowa. Dear grandmother of Kelly and Dina Flynn, both of Totowa. Mother in law of Frank Flynn of Mahwah. Dear sister of Katherine Kissal of Richmond, VA. and the late Gregory Anastos, George Anastos and Felicia Georgopoulos. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and her beloved pet dog, Niko. Born in Paterson, she has lived in Totowa for the past forty eight years. She was a Personel Clerk for Steinbach Department Store, Wayne, for ten years before retiring in 1993. Prior to that, she worked with her father at Caroll Plaza Luncheonette, Paterson which later became Adelphi Restaurant. Mrs. Courtis was a member of the Deborah Hospital Foundation, Browns Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Clifton at 10:00 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit Monday 4-8 PM.
