DeStefano, Antoinette "Ann" Helen, age 86, of Santa Fe, NM formerly of Washington Township (Bergen County), NJ passed away on February 23, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday March 7, 2015 at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Armenian Catholic Church, Little Falls, NJ with Reverend George Kalousieh officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson, NJ. Visitation will be held at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, on March 6, 2015 from 4-8 PM. Ann DeStefano was born in Paterson, NJ to Louis and Mary (Altonjy) Shadiack on January 13, 1929. She attended St. Joseph's High School until her education was interrupted by World War II. She was proud that she later graduated from Eastside High School in 1951. She was an active member of the Women's Auxiliary of the John Raad American Legion Post for many years. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed providing delicious meals for her family. She was an avid reader and fan of the movies. Ann is survived by her brothers George and Michael Shadiack of Paterson, NJ, her five children: Paul DeStefano, Jr. and his wife, Patricia Bacha of Santa Fe, NM; Louis DeStefano and his wife, Karen Daigle of Cheshire, CT.; Peter DeStefano and his wife, Carmen Storer of Lawrenceville, NJ; Maryann DeStefano of Santa Fe, NM; and Frank DeStefano of Haledon, NJ. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great granddaughters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Paul DeStefano, Sr.; her beloved granddaughter, Kathryn Hanna; and her brothers Stephen, Joseph, Edward and Thomas Shadiack. Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Association of America. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Casa Real nursing home in Santa Fe, NM and Gentiva Hospice in Albuquerque, NM for caring so well for Ann in the last months of her life.»(Do not delete this line.
