Obituary of Frank F Karesch

Schedule Change: The funeral for Frank Karesch will be departing the funeral home at 8:45 AM Karesch, Frank F age 68 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on February 26, 2015. Dear son of the late Frank and Elsie (nee Haringer) Karesch. Brother of Robert Karesch of Equinunk, PA. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Brooklyn, then in Ridgewood/Queens, NY before moving to Totowa in 1972. He was the Superintendent of Sanitation for the city of New York for over 25 years before retiring in 1990. Mr. Karesch was the past president of the United Bavarians of NY/NJ. He was a Totowa Volunteer Firefighter for Riverview Firehouse. He belonged to Edelweiss of Passaic, and was an honorary original member of Eazian. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. Friends may visit Monday 4:00 - 8:00 pm.
