Father of Norma Cannito and her husband Tom and Karen Van Blarcom and her husband Harry. Grandfather of Cheryl Ammeraal and her husband Glenn, Stacey Hartley and her husband Jimmy, Darlene Warga and her husband Rich and Nicole Storms and her husband Jim. Great grandfather of C.J., Courtney, Jessica, Danielle, Skyler, Richie, Jacqueline, Rebecca and Piper. Brother of the late David W. Kerr Jr., and Edward Kerr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 10:00 AM. OBITUARY
Norman Kerr age 86 of Totowa died Wednesday. Born in Paterson, he lived there then Fair Lawn before moving to Totowa in 1957. He was a Truck Driver and Rigging Operator for Rushton Trucking Co., West Paterson, NJ for 25 years before retiring at the age of 62. He was a member of the N.J. Teamsters Union Local # . Mr. Kerr was a member of the American Legion Post 171, Fair Lawn. He was also a member of the Totowa Happy Seniors and the United Methodist Church of Little Falls. He was a lifetime member of Totowa Fire Rescue where he attained the rank of Assistant Chief. He was also the longtime President of Totowa Fire Rescue. Mr. Kerr was a member of the Totowa Exempt Firemens Association. He was a WW II Army Veteran and a recipient of the American Theater Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal.
