May you rest in peace Mary. I have the fondest memories growing up in Paterson and all of us children going to St. Joe's school. You were a great friend to the family and my mother Dolores especially. You will be sorely missed by not only our family but the countless families you have touched over the years.
Fondly,
Susan (Primavera) Taggart

Abby's first Election Day, grandma! I took her to vote and she was only a few months old. Hope her vote counted. :) We used to love Election Day. You turned me into a political junkie. We would sit up and watch the exit polls together. I can't remember which was more fun with you...exit polls or football games. You yelled at the TV for both.

At the airport for my move to California! You taught me how it is okay to move away to live your own life. You did it with your move from RI to NJ.

Right after taking the bar exam, before flying back to CA. I was certain I failed. You knew otherwise. You were right, as usual!

Izzie's birthday in November 2013. I'm about two or three months pregnant. Everyone in the photo knew. We were all celebrating Izzie's birthday and the presence of your great grandchild.

We all loved Aunt Mary. My earliest memories of her involve hymns being sung in the kitchen while she was doing household chores and the seemingly endless number of bags she would have when she visited us during the summer. No one was a stranger to Mary Card, everyone had a life story and she was always willing to listen, rejoice in their happiness or sympathize with their plight. Her own stories more often than not, made us laugh. She was very good at soothing ruffled feathers and was unfailingly kind and comforting to the old, small children and every one else in between. She was the youngest of the Norton sisters, who went from tart to sweet. She got all the sugar. We are diminished by her passing, saddened that she won't be able to sweeten the life of Abigail, whom she would have doted upon. Our family dynamic will not be quite the same without her beautiful loving spirit. I hope these memories and those of all who surround you lighten your burden of grief. She smiles on us all.

You meeting cousins Renee and Ken Fisher. I don't think we stopped laughing the entire night. Except when we had to walk up some of those San Francisco hills after stuffing our faces and drinking wine. That wasn't so funny. :)

Us at Bottega in Yountville, CA. This was mine and Izzie's favorite restaurant in Napa. I would always say "my grandma would love the lamb! We have to get her here!" And we did. And you did love the lamb. So happy you got to experience this.
