Obituary of Vincenza Porter

Porter, Vincenza "Florence" (nee Decimato) age 97, of Totowa at rest in Wayne on October 23, 2014. Beloved wife of thirty-five years of the late Abram Porter (1995). Dear mother of Dolores Varano and her husband, Joseph of Totowa and Angelo Cammisa and his wife, Ursula of OR. Cherished grandmother of Anthony Varano and his wife, Megan, Christina Varano, Angela Cammisa, Vincent Cammisa and his wife, Patty, and Joseph Cammisa. Survivors also include seven great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her beloved pet dog, Molly. She was predeceased by thirteen beloved brothers and sisters. Born in Paterson, she lived in Totowa since 1960. She was a Seamstress for Beattie Mills, Little Falls, for many years before retiring in 1983. She was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. She was also a member of the Totowa Seniors, and the American Legion Ladies Auxilliary, Post # 108, Singac, Little Falls. Vincenza loved to knit, garden, and cook. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Monday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to North Shore Animal League, 25 Davis Avenue, Port Washington, NY 11050 would be appreciated.
