Obituary of Anthony Gaeta

Gaeta, Anthony Sr. age 88 of Montville at rest in Montville on September 12, 2014. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life, then in Totowa from 1951 to 1979 before moving to Montville. Mr. Gaeta worked for his father at Gaeta Trucking from 1939-1951. He was the owner/President of Gaeta Service from 1951-1973 and was the President of Gaeta Recycling from 1973 until his retirement in 1996. He was a World War II Army veteran. Beloved husband of the late Dollie Mae (nee Elliott) Gaeta. Loving father of Anthony Gaeta, Jr. of Franklin Lakes, Diane Cerinetti & her husband, Frank of Riverdale, and Donna Hart of Montville. Loving grandfather of Dawn Portannese and John Hart. Caring great grandfather of Michael Portannese. Brother of Kay Russo and the late Edith Acquafredda and Antoinette George. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 8:45 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends visit Monday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
