Preslopsky, Leonard Pops of Barnegat at rest in Barnegat on March 20, 2005. Devoted husband of the former Dorothy E. Casper. Father of Leonard J. Preslopsky and his wife Lynn, Linda Schopperth and her husband Rich and Patti Beskid and her husband Phil. Brother of Tekla Roszkowski and her husband John and the late Mary Mihalik, Anna Ates, Johanna Drelich, Julia, John and Daniel Preslopsky. Brother in law of Elizabeth Preslopsky and Lorraine Casper and the late Joseph M. Casper and George Casper Sr. Also survived by his adored grandaughters, Courtney and Kristin Schopperth and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of Holy Angels R.C. Church, Little Falls at 9:00 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Born in Clifton, NJ he lived there for 20 years then in Paterson for 40 years before moving to Barnegat in 1993. He was a Forklift Operator for General Foods, Clifton, NJ for 32 years before retiring in 1993. Mr. Preslopsky was an avid Jets fan. He was a parishioner of St. Marys R.C. Church, Barnegat, NJ. He was a member of the Brighton at Barnegat Social Club. He was also a member of the Athenia Veterans Post, Clifton, NJ and the American Legion Post # 360, Paterson, NJ. He was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran and received an Army of Occupation Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. Preceeding him in death are: 4 sisters: Mary Mihalik, Anna Ates, Johanna Drelich, Julia Preslopsky 2 brothers: John and Daniel Preslopsky 2 brothers in law: Joseph M. Casper and George Casper Survivors include his wife: The former Dorothy E. Casper of Barnegat, NJ A son: Leonard J. Preslopsky and his wife Lynn of Hawthorne, NJ 2 daughters: Linda Schopperth and her husband Rich of Totowa, NJ Patti Beskid and her husband Phil of Montville, NJ 1 sister: Tekla Roszkowski and her husband John of Toms River, NJ Also survived by 2 adored grandaughters, 2 sisters in law and several nieces and nephews.
