Canova, Peggy F. (nee Johnson) of Wayne at rest in North Haledon on February 12, 2005. Beloved wife of the late James J. Canova Sr. (who was the former owner of Tungol Paint Co., Paterson). Loving mother of James J. Canova Jr. and his wife, Debbie, Patricia Yoder and her husband Bill, and Barbara Schielke and her husband, Mark. Caring sister of Raymond Chip Benedetto and his wife, Jane. Adored grandmother Chris Canova and his wife, Stacey, Jennie Canova, Jason, Matt, and Samantha Schielke, and Christina, Beth, and Katie Yoder. Dear aunt of Michael Benedetto and his wife, Colleen, and Nicole Benedetto. Great aunt of Alex Benedetto. Cherished friend of Joe and Angie Pagano, and Gloria Schlesser. She is also survived by her faithful dog, Brandy. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Chapel 219 Pompton Road, Haledon, NJ on Tuesday at 10:00 AM for her Funeral Mass. Interment to follow at Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Canova was a parishioner of Jesus Christ Prince of Peace Chapel, Haledon, NJ. She was the former President of the School #9 P.T.A and founded its library a well. Preceeding her in death was her husband: James J. Canova Sr. (the former owner of Tungol Paint Co., Paterson) Survivors include: A son: James J. Canova Jr. of North Haledon, NJ 2 daughters: Patricia Yoder of Little Falls, NJ Barbara Schielke of North Haledon, NJ A brother: Raymond Chip Benedetto of Waldwick, NJ Also survived by 8 grandchildren, a niece, a nephew, and a great nephew. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
