Cioffi, Joseph P. of Lakewood, N.J. at rest in Newark, N.J. on November 2, 2004. Husband of the former Dorothy Ventura. Father of Marianne Ramirez, Joanne Cioffi, Michael Cioffi, Dr. Donald R. Cioffi and his wife Diane, Joseph P. Anthony Cioffi and his wife Brenda, Gerard C. Cioffi and his wife Michele and Robert F. Cioffi and his wife Annmarie. Pre deceased by his son Joseph Anthony Cioffi. Also surviving are 17 Grandchildren and 5 Great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. OBITUARY Joseph P. Cioffi age 81 of Lakewood, N.J. died Tuesday. Born in Paterson, N.J. he lived in North Haledon most of his life before moving to Ocean County 10 years ago. He was a self employed HVAC Mechanical Contractor for Northeastern Air Conditioning Co., Inc., Paterson, N.J. for over 40 years before retiring in 1992. Mr. Cioffi was a parishioner and trustee of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson, N.J. He was a member and Past Grand Knight with the St. Gerard Knights of Columbus Council #7028. He was also the chairman of the fund raising and building committee in 1980. He was a member of the Holy Name Society and served on the St. Gerard School Board and the Finance Committee. He was a WW II Marine Corp Veteran in the Pacific Theater receiving 2 purple hearts. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans of Brick, N.J. Preceeding him in death was his son, Joseph Anthony Cioffi. Survivors include his wife: The former Dorothy Ventura. 5 sons: Michael Cioffi of Toms River, N.J. Dr.Donald R. Cioffi of Waretown, N.J. Joseph P. Anthony Cioffi of Wayne, N.J. Gerard C. Cioffi of Monroe Twsp., N.J. Robert F. Cioffi of Edison, N.J. 2 daughters: Marianne Ramirez of Toms River, N.J. Joanne Cioffi of Lakewood, N.J.
