Stella, Joseph E. of North Bergen formerly of Paterson at rest in North Bergen on August 27, 2004. Beloved husband of the late and former Rosa Alecci. Father of Stephen Stella and his wife Marivel and John Stella and his wife Carmela. Grandfather of Joseph, Nunzio, Fabio, Daniel, Stephen, Rossana, Melyssa, Valerie and Cristina Stella. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Michaels R.C. Stella age 87 of North Bergen died Friday. Born in Vittoria, Prov. Di Ragusa, Sicily, Italy he came to the U.S.A. in 1961 settling in Paterson before moving to North Bergen 5 years ago. He was an Employee for Alco-Gravure Printing, Hoboken, N.J. for 10 years before retiring in 1979. He was a Corporal with the Italian Army during WWII from 1936 to 1947. He was also a P.O.W. Mr. Stella was a parishioner of St. Michaels R.C. Church, Paterson. He was pre deceased by his wife the former Rosa Alecci. Survivors include: 2 sons: Stephen Stella of Franklin Lakes, N.J. John Stella of Lincoln Park, N.J. Also surviving are 9 Grandchildren and 2 Daughters in Law. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
