Grandfather of Dana and Damen Vanginneken, and Will Puglisi. Father of Edward Karas, Ricky Karas and Kathy Karas-Pasciucco. Dear son of Josephine (nee Suberati) Karas. Brother of Violet Karas and Peter Karas. Also survived by 3 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Cremation will be private at the request of the family. Friends may call Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Karas, D.C. age 69 of Paterson died Tuesday. Dr. Karas was born in Paterson, NJ and was a lifelong resident of Paterson. He was the self employed owner of Edward F. Karas Chiropractic, Paterson for the past 47 years. Dr. Karas was a silver card member of the Paterson PBA and he was honored as their man of the year. He was a graduate of New York Institute of Chiropractic.
