Brother of Sheila, Chrissy, John, Michael, Jerry and the late Maura, Kitty, and Elsie. Grandfather of Sarah, Caitlin, Meghan, and Allison. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 8:30 A.M. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventures R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:00 A.M. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com. OBITUARY James Murphy age 77 of West Paterson died Sunday. Born in Cork City, Ireland he came to the United States in 1946 and resided in West Paterson. He was a Machinist for Howmedica, Rutherford, N.J. Prior to that he worked for General Electric, Paterson before retiring in 1998. Mr. Murphy was a parishioner of St. Bonaventures R.C. Church, Paterson and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #360, Paterson, NJ for 52 years. He was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. Preceeding him in death was his wife: the former Sarah T. Thompson and 3 sisters: Maura, Kitty, and Elsie Survivors include A daughter: Maura Murphy of Parsippany, NJ A son: James J. Murphy of Ramsey, NJ 2 sisters: Sheila of NY Chrissy of England 3 brothers: John of Spain Michael of England Jerry of Ireland Also survived by 4 grandaughters. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
