Shipley, Raymond A. of Totowa at rest in Wayne on December 12, 2005. Devoted husband of the former Donna M. Thorpe and the late Helen J. (nee Hienrich). Father of Raymond J. Shipley and his wife Sandy. Brother of Bill N. Shipley. Also survived by 3 step-children, 3 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 niece and 1 nephew. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 10:00 A.M. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com. OBITUARY Raymond A. Shipley age 81 of Totowa died Monday. Born in Philadelphia, PA he lived in Totowa since 1938. He was a Municipal Employee for the Totowa Department of Public Works, Totowa, NJ before retiring in 1987. he was also a weaver for Dalby and Sons, Hawthorne, NJ. Mr. Shipley was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa, NJ. He was an army veteran of WW II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He also received the American Theater Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge and the Victory Medal.
