Shipley and his wife Sandy. Brother of Bill N. Shipley. Also survived by 3 step-children, 3 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 niece and 1 nephew. OBITUARY

Raymond A. Shipley age 81 of Totowa died Monday. Born in Philadelphia, PA he lived in Totowa since 1938. He was a Municipal Employee for the Totowa Department of Public Works, Totowa, NJ before retiring in 1987. he was also a weaver for Dalby and Sons, Hawthorne, NJ. Mr. Shipley was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa, NJ. He was an army veteran of WW II and a recipient of the Purple Heart. He also received the American Theater Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge and the Victory Medal.
